QUEEN’S BUILDING, THE UNIVERSITY OF BRISTOL

This project, which took place during the construction of a new laboratory facility at the University of Bristol, involved planning and installing a completely new lighting and electrical system for the building. The installation included a new 650 amp sub mains distribution system (with emergency shutdown facility), cable management systems, LED lighting and power installations, as well as emergency lighting and fire detection systems.

An assignment of this size is primarily about project management; we had to make sure that everything happened when it should, to prevent the building process being held up by our team of electricians.

Having good communications with the other contractors enabled us to stay up-to-date with any changes in the direction of the project, as well as helping us effectively time-manage our work load. Effectively working with the other contractors on this project ensured that it was completed on time and within budget.
